Best Pieces to Transition from Summer to Fall | Olive Ave

It feels like summer just started, but you guys, we are already thinking about the upcoming fall weather and all the comfy cozy cardigans ahead! Sometimes shopping in the middle of summer can be so frustrating because we don’t want to buy things that we can only enjoy for a few more weeks. Can anyone else relate?

The easiest pieces to transition from summer to fall are neutral toned tops. We are currently loving this multi color block shirt because it can be paired with bermuda shorts or a pair of distressed jeans in the fall, the lightweight fabric is so great for summer but can easily be cozied up with a cardigan. Our next favorite item is this striped shirt. The colors scream fall but pair it with our Raelyn Denim Dress and it has a completely summer feel. Can you tell that we are pretty excited about these new arrivals?!

If you are looking for some great stand out pieces that can be dressed up or down, then you have to check out this mustard colored midi skirt. We are pretty obsessed with the button detailing and that it can be worn with your favorite graphic tee or when fall comes around you can layer on a denim jacket or your favorite sweater. Already dreaming of sweater weather in this 90 degree heat, just call us crazy

Headed back to school? Thenthis black jumpsuit definitely needs to be in your closet. You can pair it with long or short sleeves and wear your favorite clogs. Wide leg pants have been giving us all the feels lately because of the playful look, and there is no reason to let summer stop incorporating playfulness into your everyday outfits.

P. S. this jumpsuit is the best on those no shave days, you can thank us later.

If you find yourself venturing to farmers markets during the summer, and pumpkin patches in the fall then you must check out this neutral toned floral dress. It has quickly become one of our favorite dresses to throw on when we’re in a rush and in the fall we can see ourselves pairing this dress with a felt hat and a pair of booties.

We hope these tips help you transition your wardrobe from summer to fall and maybe even give you a little inspiration for some upcoming summer outfits. We’d absolutely LOVE seeing your looks over on Instagram so be sure to tag us @oliveaveboutique.
